Sharon Jennings-Rojas has a master of acupuncture and is a licensed acupuncturist. She completed her graduate work and obtained her Masters of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine degree from the Traditional Acupuncture Institute – School of Philosophy and Healing in Action (Tai Sophia). She possesses 20 years of administrative and clinical experience in alternative health care and is also a member of several national naturopathic organizations.
In addition to her work with the Departments of Health in New York, Baltimore and Atlanta, she has also presented at several alternative medicine conferences throughout the United States. She is particularly vested in the community acupuncture model – communities healing one person at a time – tending the whole self and sharing wellness with those around us. Sharon believes that when we are balanced, disease is minimized because the body, mind and spirit are harmonized.
Presently, Sharon is on faculty at Tai Sophia and serves as an administrator managing the institute’s community health and wellness partnerships. She is also on faculty at the Academy for Somatic Healing Arts (ASHA) in Norcross, Georgia where she is currently on sabbatical. She has recently been appointed as the resident acupuncturist at Goucher College in Towson where she serves students, faculty and staff.
She maintains a successful practice in Owings Mills and Columbia, while balancing family life with her husband and three children.
