Mary is a licensed massage therapist in the state of Maryland and nationally certified in therapeutic massage and bodywork. She has been practicing and teaching in the healing arts for more than 25 years. Mary enjoys developing a relationship with her clients to help them manage chronic pain and repetitive strain problems by improving and maintaining function. She is currently expanding her practice to working with older adults as well as children with developmental disorders such as autism spectrum disorder.
Mary received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Loyola University of Chicago in 1978. She practiced and taught rehabilitation nursing for 17 years. In 1995, Mary graduated from the Myotherapy Institute of Utah and has since received specialized training in neuromuscular therapy, deep tissue, myofascial release, active isolated
stretching, and Zero Balancing. Mary has also taught a variety of massage and bodywork modalities as well as anatomy & physiology, kinesiology, and hydrotherapy at the Holistic Massage Training Institute in Baltimore, Maryland and the Mountain State
School of Massage in Charleston, West Virginia.
