Georganne "Geo" Derick, MSc, RH(AHG), is a graduate of our nation's only Master of Science in Herbal Medicine program (from Tai Sophia Institute in MD) and has been a clinical practitioner since 2004. Now designated as a Registered Herbalist (RH), Ms. Derick is a professional member of the American Herbalist’s Guild(AHG), which promotes the highest level of professionalism and ethical practice of herbal therapeutics.
Acceptance requires at least 4 years of education & practice, over 1000 hours of client visits, a comprehensive exam of materia medica, contraindications, herb-drug interactions, dosing and therapeutic actions of at least 150 plants, understanding the scope and limitations of herbal practice, plus knowing when to refer or consult with other health professionals. She has been trained to work in partnership with modern medicine as an advocate for clients health goals.
Geo enjoys formulating custom teas and medicines for clients that are both good tasting and therapeutic. As an avid organic gardener, cook and educator, she agrees with Hippocrates:

A frequent speaker and educator, Ms. Derick has taught dozens of subjects at various Universities, Conferences, Organizations and other public places. Her passion for health and nutrition, the plants and the planet are known to be contagious!
