My practitioner left something for me to pick up. Where do I pick this up?
We have a pick-up box right inside our front door in the entryway under the table. You can coordinate payment with your practitioner beforehand. Generally, we are open every Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, although this does vary for Holidays, etc.
If the building is closed, your practitioner will explain where you can pick up your package and how to make payment.
Please do not call the office beforehand or if you have any problems; call your practitioner directly.

I am already seeing someone there and I would like to set up an appointment with another Holistic Maryland Practitioner. What should I do?
If you use our online scheduling system, you already have an account and can go ahead and make an appointment. Be sure to contact your practitioner prior to your first appointment, as they might have forms or other things to go over with you first.
If you are not using our system, you are still in it and appointments can be made with your new practitioenr through your current account.

What is Reiki?
Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is administered by "laying on hands" and is based on the idea that an unseen "life force energy" flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. If one's "life force energy" is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy.
The word Reiki is made of two Japanese words - Rei which means "God's Wisdom or the Higher Power" and Ki which is "life force energy". So Reiki is actually "spiritually guided life force energy."

Why should I use a coach?
"Coaches help clients set and reach goals using a variety of tools and techniques. In the world of health and wellness, a health coach is an emerging new role. Health coaching is becoming recognized as a new way to help individuals "manage" their illnesses and conditions, especially those of a chronic nature. The coach will use special techniques, personal experience, expertise and encouragement to assist the coachee in bringing his/her behavioral changes about." (wikipedia.org)
Many people benefit from the empowerment, motivation, and tools of coaching. They find it helps them identify their blocks and achieve their goals. If its time for a lifestyle shift, you might benefit from a coach.

What can I expect from an herbal consultation?
Although it varies by practitioner, your herbalist will listen to your concerns, evaluate you and your needs from an herbal perspective (including Ayurvedic medicine), and recommend custom herbs for your wellbeing. They can also create custom tinctures, powders and teas for your individualized needs.
Although not diagnosing or treating from a Western medicine perspective, your herbalist may also be in communication with your doctor to optimize coordination of care.
