Brittney is committed to healing so that her patients experience a lasting sense of well- being. She is trained in pain relief, calming mental anxieties, and assisting patients in making life style changes that will support the acupuncture and herbal treatments that they have received.
Brittney does this through practicing Traditional Chinese Medicine and incorporating principles of 5 Element Acupuncture and various moxabustion techniques. Brittney also incorporates Chinese herbal and nutritional remedies into her treatment planning. Brittney continues her studies in Chinese Medicine by attending workshops and conferences throughout the United States taught by leaders in the field of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
Brittney holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from Widener University in Chester, Pa and a Masters of Acupuncture degree from the Traditional Acupuncture Institute. (now known as the TAI SOPHIA Institute) Brittney completed this program in February 2004. This is a 3 1/2 year program of study requiring 2300 hours of classroom and clinical training. Brittney is licensed to practice in the State of Maryland and is nationally certified as an Acupuncture Detoxification Specialist by the National Acupuncture Detoxification Association. Brittney is also a participating provider with Blue Cross and Blue Shield.
