Jennifer Rabenhorst, MD, MAc, LAc

Acupuncture is a tradition used for health maintenance for 5,000 years. More recently, the World Health Organization has identified 41 conditions that lend themselves to acupuncture treatment. Although Dr. Rabenhorst treats the whole people and not labels or isolated systems, it is interesting that the National Institutes of Health have noted acupuncture's utility in adult post-operative and chemotherapy nausea and vomiting, post-operative dental pain, addiction, stroke rehabilitation, headache, menstrual cramps, tennis elbow, fibromyalgia, myofacial pain, osteoarthritis, low back pain, carpal tunnel syndrome, and asthma.

Jennifer Rabenhorst, MD, MAc, LAc focuses on empowering her patients to heal body, mind and spirit. She creates the space for healing, and helps this process happen with grace and love. Her training includes graduating Cum Laude and with Honors with a Bachelors of Science in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of Maryland Baltimore County. She went to the University of Maryland School of Medicine (4 years), and completed her formal training at the Georgetown University/Providence Hospital Family Practice Residency Program (3 years). Upon graduation from Residency, she was honored with the Community Medicine Award. She then earned her Masters of Acupuncture from Tai Sophia (3.5 years). She also has training in Zero Balancing, Akashic Records and Reiki. Dr. Rabenhorst was honored with a Patients' Choice award in 2008, 2009 and 2011. Of the nation's 720,000 active physicians, less than 5% are accorded this honor.

Dr. Rabenhorst studied acupuncture for over 3 years and has been independently practicing for over 2 years. She has a Masters in Acupuncture from Tai Sophia and has continued her study in further courses. She finds this work very spiritual, yet also very effective in decreasing pain and other symptoms.

"In your presence I know healing is available and happening! You are so very skilled in delivering highly effective treatments in word, needle and your unique and sacred way of being with your patients ... Beyond rapport, you develop sincere and deeply trusting relationships with your clients that give them the firm foundation for their own journeys and growth in body, mind, spirit; three in one. You meet clients right where they are ... Your passion and commitment to your calling is clear and visible. Some say one's 'calling' is found at the intersection of one's desires and one's gifts and talents. Surely it seems you are living your calling."

"You have helped me beyond my wildest dreams ... One of our most recent acupuncture sessions ranks as one of the top ten best days of my life ... you also run the most stress-free medical practice I have ever experienced ...Thank you for being an excellent healer and a lovely person"

"...You have helped me learn how to walk my path with grace. You have shown me boundless patience, listening, acceptance and love. ... You have asked me the most difficult questions ... and helped me explore the 'me' I had forgotten ... You have brought out my observer ... I am also beginning to understand how important it is to take care of myself. ... Movement and change is a constant of life, and we are all learning how to dance."

"I thank you & appreciate that you have held the space for me to heal ... that you have been so supportive & caring ... [I] hold you in the highest love & respect."
